The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is the professional association for speech-language pathologists, with many links for the public on communication and swallowing disorders.

The National Stuttering Association is the largest self-help support organization in the United States for people who stutter.
The National Aphasia Association is a group whose aim is to support and educate people with aphasia and their families.
